Your Algorithm Is Your Cage
Challenge your beliefs
The Kings Letter
Social media is a powerful tool. It connects, entertains, and even inspires. But it also does something more dangerous. It locks you in a bubble.
The algorithm is not designed to expand your thinking. It’s designed to reinforce it. Watch one chiropractor video, and suddenly your feed is flooded with back-cracking clips. Click on a controversial opinion once, and soon it feels like everyone agrees with it.
It’s comfortable. It’s familiar. And it’s a trap.
The Hard Truth:
If you let the algorithm guide your consumption, it will shrink your mind. It will make you think you’re seeing the full picture while feeding you the same recycled ideas over and over again.
For artists—people who are supposed to thrive on new perspectives—that’s deadly.
What To Do About It:
Break the pattern. Intentionally search for things outside your usual interests. Read opinions that challenge your beliefs.
Go offline. Algorithms can’t control what books you pick up, what conversations you have in real life, or what new experiences you pursue.
Be a creator, not just a consumer. Instead of letting social media dictate what you think about, create something worth thinking about.
Your Challenge:
Scroll through your feed today. What’s dominating your algorithm? Is it helping you grow, or is it just feeding you more of the same?
If it’s the latter, shake things up. Start thinking for yourself again.
